The Lutheran AIDS Network (LANET) seeks to provide support, help and resources from a faith-based perspective. We seek to represent our message of concern about HIV/AIDS and our call for active and compassionate response primarily within church bodies and organizations that identify themselves within the Lutheran tradition. We provide presence, advocacy, and educational assistance to any such group.
LANET is an independent organization that brings together Lutherans from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod but is not officially related to either church body, nor does it represent official positions or doctrinal perspectives of either church. Likewise, LANET does not endorse or represent the position of any other organization that may identify itself with the Lutheran tradition.
